Hot Iron Grill, Oly

Hot Iron Grill

345 Cooper Point Rd. NW
Olympia, WA

360-753-2941

Price: Just under $10 for one trip through and a drink.

NOT all you can eat! They charge regular price for your first bowl, then 1/2 price for your next. They DO however have bigger than normal bowls and offer a take out box for your first helping if you don't finish it, that's a rarity!

They take the "do it all yourself" route, fill your bowl, then they cook it, then you get your own drink/napkins/utensils. No teapots, but you can refill your own tea as you wish.

We were pretty disappointed with their selection. NO mushrooms is a tragedy! And the veggies they did have looked a little anemic and sad. Their pre-grill sauce seemed weak at best. While there was a decent variety to choose form, we couldn't taste it after it was grilled up. They do have 3 excellent post-grill sauces that almost make up for this. They also don't have table side Hoisin sauce, our fave, but our rad waitress got us a ramekin of it when we asked. Noodles here seemed limp and not yummy. Not sure if it was the brand they use or if they were a little undercooked, but we were not satisfied with this overall grill experience. The best thing we can say is that the service was extremely good and there were no rats (YAY).

We give this place a 2 out of 5 bowls and will probably never go back.
